A rare and early "PS16" rocking chaise lounge. One of the most iconic designs of Franco Albini. Produced by Poggi, Italy, 1950s-1960s. Executed in varnished sycamore, Honduran mahogany, cotton fabric, and cord.
Other Italian designers of the period include Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi, Paolo Buffa, Guglielmo Ulrich, and Lina Bo Bardi.
Condition: Good Wear consistent with age and use. In good original condition. Structurally stable. Presents with visually appealing original patina to wood. Cotton fabric with traces of age, a few small tears are carefully stitched together near metal rings where the cord is fitted.
