A set of 8 wood and green vinyl dining room chairs designed by Carlo Hauner and produced by Forma, Brazil, c. 1956.
Provenance: Present example set was part of an interior executed by Forma for Carvalho Barroso, former president of Petrobras. The interior is illustrated in Casa e Jardim in 1956 and featured on the cover.
Dramatic patina on vinyl and brass tufting consistent with age and use. Minor signs of wear to wood frames, with some loss of screw hole plugs. The tips of the backlegs of two chairs has had losses addressed.
