A vase of brown-glazed stoneware, produced by Rörstrands, Sweden, 1950s and designed by Gunnar Nylund, (Swedish, 1914-1997). Maker's stamp to the underside.
Nylund served as artistic director at Rörstrands, where he worked from 1931 to 1955. Prior to his work at Rörstrand he was a well-established ceramic artist in Denmark at Bing & Grøndahl, and later found the ceramic workshop Saxbo, in partnership with Nathalie Krebs.
Condition: Good Wear consistent with age and use.
